Waterford Harvest Festival

The energy of a kitchen always interests me, especially when you put Waterford’s finest head chefs in a tent for the weekend! Using all local produce, the team working with WIT student commis’, delivered a 5 course taste menu as part of Eat Waterford‘s offering at the Waterford Harvest Festival. Mayfield Birds of Prey

Willie Corcoran runs Mayfield Birds of Prey in Waterford.  It’s rare to meet someone who has such a passion and love in what they do. We were drawn in by the stories he had for each bird and descriptions of their personalities. Set in the old workhouse in Kilmacthomas, Willie made sure the booking was only us, he strongly believes in promoting wildlife and their welfare. We (four of us) were the audience for over an hour and a half and were granted the opportunity to hold, feed and fly the birds, an experience that I really can not put …

‘Tis a soft ‘ol day

A simple little video I put together on a typical rainy Sunday afternoon in my parents back garden. Little did I know that theJournal.ie would pick up on it. Their page received over 21,000 views and with the video being played 3,500 times overnight, I’m calling this one, it’s official…  I went viral 🙂

Coumshingaun Timelapse Photography

I abandoned a camera for an afternoon on the side of a mountain, here’s the results… Location: Coumshingaun, Comeragh Mountains, Co. Waterford. Approx. 2.5 hours compressed into 60 seconds on Friday 14th of March, 2014. Camera shot a high res image every 5 seconds… Captured using a GoPro Hero 3+ Timelapse video produced using Adobe After Effects & Premier Pro Music by Chris Zabriske ‘Cylinder Two’ under Creation Commons Licensing. Make sure you watch in HD Quality for full detail. This is hopefully a teaser of more to come.

Waterford Harvest Festival

Here at Emagine, we have been involved with Waterford Harvest Festival for 5 years now. In addition to our role as web designers, 2013 saw our our 3rd year as festival photographers. Here’s a few of my favourite photos.

1000 years, 1000 paces

Here in Emagine Media, we’re currently working on a project for Waterford Treasures. This involved a closer look around Waterford’s ongoing developments in the Viking Triangle. At the heart of the Viking Triangle, Waterford Treasures comprises of three magnificent museums chronicling over one thousand years of history; Bishop’s Palace, The Medieval Museum and Reginald’s Tower – all within easy walking distance of each other. It is a treasure trail that takes you through Ireland’s oldest city – 1000 years in 1000 paces. With the sun shining, the city was looking amazing last week. The architect was brought out in me by studying …

Ravens Rock Rally 2013

The ceremonial start for the 2013 Raven’s Rock Rally was launched on June 29th in Waterford City. The sun was shining and both the cars and John Roberts Square was looking amazing in the stunning evening light. Great to see the city centre so unusually busy on Saturday evening, drawing a big crowd and generating a buzz for the city.
